International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated every year on March 8th to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Under the annual theme Choose To Challenge, communities, networks, organizations and groups have commemorated #IWD2021 by championing their own #ChooseToChallenge campaign.
At Msichana Empowerment Kuria, we celebrated various women in our community and network with an 8 day countdown on our social media platforms, with our own running theme of 'Women and girls leading change'.
